Overview

DeFi Technologies is a publicly traded financial technology company that functions as the critical bridge between Traditional Finance (TradFi) and Decentralized Finance. Through its subsidiary Valour, the company provides institutional-grade exposure to over sixty-five of the world’s most innovative digital assets—including Bitcoin, Solana, and Cardano—delivered through regulated Exchange Traded Products (ETPs).

The Challenge: The “Regulatory Moat”

While institutional interest in crypto is at an all-time high, a massive psychological and logistical barrier remains: Custody and Regulation.

  • The Hesitation: Traditional investors are eager to capture the upside of the Future of Finance but are unwilling (or unable) to manage private keys, navigate unregulated exchanges, or risk compliance violations.
  • The Narrative Gap: DeFi Technologies needed to communicate that they offer the perfect solution: regulated, secure equity instruments that trade on standard stock exchanges, removing the technical risk while keeping the financial upside.

“The TradFi Translator”

Our strategy focused on positioning DeFi Technologies not as a crypto company, but as a diversified financial powerhouse. We utilized a highly coordinated Investor Relations and Creator campaign to distribute this message across the X.com ecosystem.

Strategic Pillars

1. The Coalition of Creators

We moved beyond standard PR by assembling a diverse coalition of voices on X (formerly Twitter) to triangulate the narrative for different audiences:

  • News Accounts: High-engagement news aggregators were used to break announcements rapidly, ensuring DeFi Technologies dominated the freshness algorithm.
  • TradFi KOLs: We activated respected voices in the traditional stock/investing world to validate the ETP structure, assuring their followers that DEFI was a safe entry point.
  • Crypto KOLs: We leveraged crypto natives to validate the specific assets DeFi Technologies was listing (e.g., “Bullish on Solana? Buy it via your brokerage account with DEFI”).
2. Paid Budget Optimization

We managed a substantial paid media budget with a focus on efficiency. Rather than spraying capital, we developed a Wins per Budget framework. We treated every dollar as an arbitrage opportunity, dynamically allocating spend to the creators and channels that were driving the highest quality engagement (likes, retweets, and link clicks) rather than just vanity impressions.

3. The “Security” Narrative

A core component of our messaging was risk mitigation. We consistently reinforced the message: “Capture the upside, mitigate the risk.” By framing the stock as a regulated equity instrument, we successfully appealed to the risk-averse capital that sits on the sidelines of the crypto market.

  • KPI Outperformance: We repeatedly exceeded targets for Reach, Views, and Engagement. The news account strategy ensured that every major company announcement achieved viral velocity within minutes of release.
  • Budget Efficiency: Our Wins per Budget metric remained exceptionally high, proving that a managed, creator-led strategy yields a higher ROI than traditional banner ads or press wires.
Narrative Penetration

The “Go-To” Bridge: We successfully cemented DeFi Technologies’ reputation on X as the primary vehicle for regulated crypto exposure. The company is now widely recognized in investor circles as the safe, regulated alternative to direct crypto ownership.
